HTC Desire: First Firmware update released OTA (1.15.405.4)

We have some interesting news for those of you who have already or still plan to pick up the HTC Desire in the UK, as HTC has already issued an official firmware update OTA for you to install.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, update 1.15.405.4 is now available to download and early owners of the Desire should have received a notification about the update.

HTC has noted that customers should find a free WiFi hotspot or use an unlimited data plan to install the update – we’re guessing it could prove quite costly if you do not.

While the update is now live, details of the update are not known. If you have noticed anything significant after installing the update, we’d be grateful if you let us know.
