HTC Desire: Demand Causing Delays for Orange UK – Twitter

It appears as if the high demand for the HTC Desire is causing delays for Orange UK customers, however Orange’s UK PR manager has stated that they are working to fix this.

Three hours ago ‘conorfromorange‘ (Orange’s PR Manager) tweeted “HTC Desire fans: high demand is equalling delays in getting stock across all our channels. Working to fix this as a priority. BIG apologies”, Conor also confirmed that the Black Edition of the HTC Desire will be available from the carrier at the end of this month.

It is quite odd that the high demand is already causing delays for Orange, especially as the Desire is not yet listed on Orange’s website, however this is said to be due to Orange Shops, Telesales and Upgrades,

At the moment Orange’s best smartphone is arguably the iPhone 3GS, as the HTC Desire combines a 3.7 inch AMOLED display with Android 2.1 and is powered by a 1 GHz processor and 576MB of RAM it could prove to be a popular alternative for Orange customers, what do you think?
