HTC Desire: Android 2.2 FroYo – Coming to Europe This Weekend

No too long it was reported that HTC would not be rolling-out updates to Android 2.2 FroYo until Christmas, however we can now confirm that HTC Desire owners in Europe can expect the update this weekend.

From what we can see as long as you do not own a carrier-locked Desire you should get the update over-the-air by the end of the week, carrier specific versions of the update may not arrive until later in August.

The update will bring faster performance, increased battery life, 720p video capture and iTunes sync to the Desire, not only this but there will be an improved multi-language keyboard, enhanced HTC Caller ID and HTC’s latest and greatest version of Sense.

As we hear of carrier specific version release info we will keep you posted, for more details check out the link below.
