HP webOS for PC Plans and Beta Info

As you are probably aware HP are launching their first-ever webOS-based tablet this summer, however it looks as if HP has bigger plans for the operating system which Palm originally developed, apparently HP also plan to bring webOS to HP PCs in the future as well.

Exactly when we see HP PCs running webOS is currently unknown, however a recent article posted on PreCentral suggests that a beta of webOS will be launched by the end of the year, this will be an “on a browser” beta which will be accessible via Windows.

It is thought that webOS will not replace Windows, however will run as an app inside Windows, further details have not been confirmed, however HP has high-hopes for webOS and predict that webOS will be installed on 100 million devices a year once it launches on Windows.

We have had a think about the many directions that webOS could take and think it would be great if webOS became cloud-centric, this would mean that your HP smartphone, HP tablet and HP PC would all access the same files, this would allow you to take photos on your phone, create documents on your tablet and send emails on your PC and no-matter which device you were using you would have access to them all, what do you think of our idea?
