There appears to be a slight bit of confusion at the moment, in regards to a release date for the HP TouchPad. A few weeks back we received word that the much-anticipated tablet PC would possibly arrive in June, but shortly after the date was changed to April.
However, it now looks as though April could well be the correct launch window. According to a recent article over at precentral.net by Jonathan I Ezor, the HP TouchPad has just showed up on the Amazon.com website, which indicates that it should be arriving soon.
Judging by the specifications posted on the Amazon.com page, which include a 9.7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 768, a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, wireless 802.11b/g/n and a 1.3MP front-facing camera, this is the Wi-Fi version.
Although the page lists the HP TouchPad as “currently not available” and mentions nothing about pricing, it does enable Amazon.com customers to request an email alert when the device does become available. Other specs include 1GB RAM, Flash support and 16GB/32GB storage.
Although the Amazon page lists accessories — a Bluetooth keyboard and a TouchPad stand — for the device, we’re not 100 percent sure if you get them with the Tablet when you purchase it. Do you think the page points towards the device arriving in April rather than June?
