HP Slate 21 and SlateBook X2 first look

If you love your Android based products and would rather stick with HP, then we have two products that deserves your attention. These are the HP Slate 21 and SlateBook X2 with the former giving you an all-in-one computer experience and the latter more of a high-end tablet from HP.

The HP Slate 21 is a full all-in-one AIO and runs Android 4.2.2 with a Full HD 21-inch display. Inside you get the Tegra 4 processor, so perfect for displaying media or playing games. There is just 8GB of storage, but with 4 USB ports you will be able to increase your storage.

You will notice in the HP Slate 21 first look video below that it is running almost stock Android, so not much in the way of bloatware. As for the design, it is not the best on the market, but it is far better than most. You can have the device set upright or angled down pretty low, making it perfect to use with a keyboard or by using the touchscreen as well.

As for the HP SlateBook X2, this is the latest tablet from the company who brought us the Slate 7, which was an affordable tablet. This larger model is aimed more for the high-end user and comes with a Full HD display.

We can already notice an issue with the screen in the second video because there is a great deal of glare. You might be surprised with the HP SlateBook X2 price, because it comes in at just below $500.

However, this is because it comes with a keyboard that clips on to the tablet and while it may be a simple keyboard, it does help to improve productivity. One more added benefit; without the keyboard you have an 8 hour battery life, but the HP SlateBook X2 battery life is increased to 12 hours once you connect the keyboard.

There you have it, two very different products from HP.
