HP Pavilion 15-B129WM specs ideal for gaming

We have another heads-up for those of you who are looking to buy a cheap laptop this year during the busy 2013 Holiday sales. Earlier this week we told you about another HP laptop that was going to be available with a big discount, but it wasn’t suitable for gaming. However, the HP Pavilion 15-B129WM specs features a suitable graphics card that should be able to handle some demanding games.

To recap, we told you about the HP Pavilion 14-B109WM specs here, mentioning that it only featured the dreaded integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics, which gamers will know is a big no no for playing games with an acceptable frame rate.

The laptop will still be fine for casual users, but it isn’t good if you want to play games on it – which is where this new HP Pavilion 15-B129WM model comes into it nicely. The bigger version is going to feature upgraded specs, one of which includes an AMD Radeon HD 7500G Discrete-Class graphics and up to 2033MB total graphics memory.

This has been confirmed over on HP’s website here, along with a full list of other specs for this model. Other key features include an AMD A6-4455M 2.1GHz with 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. The 15.6-inch display is also LED quality and features a backlit function.

As you can see these specs are ideal for playing some hardcore PC games, especially with 4GB of RAM to utilize. What type of games can it support though you ask?

The good news is that it should be able to handle most PC games thrown at it, but only on medium or low settings. These include the likes of Skyrim and GTA IV – two games which are known to be very demanding when it comes to resources, especially when throwing mods onto those games.

Just don’t expect to be able to play games such as Crysis 3 on high settings as you’ll probably run into some issues. You may find this article useful which gives a full breakdown on technical capabilities for the AMD Radeon HD 7500 graphics card.
