HP ‘Hurricane’ webOS Tablet: Release Date is Q3 2010?

Some exciting details to bring you now, as it has been rumored that HP will be releasing a new tablet device sometime in Q3 of this year. It is codenamed the ‘Hurricane’ and will be running on Palm’s webOS.

According to this report from BGR, the news has supposedly come from an inside source within HP and comes straight after HP’s aquistition of Palm.

The Hurricane tablet device will feature better hardware than the now-canned HP Slate device and is already thought to be in development at HP.

Do you think the tablet is real though? It seems like it has come too quickly after the demise of the HP Slate, and just days after HP bought Palm.

What are your thoughts on a webOS-powered tablet from HP? We’ll update you when we can.
