HP ENVY TouchSmart 15.6-inch m6-n015dx laptop for gaming

We have another laptop recommendation to share with you now, for those that are looking for a cheap laptop this month, but one that can also play games. With this in mind, we can bring you a HP ENVY TouchSmart 15.6-inch Touch Screen laptop review, ahead of any purchases that you may make.

There’s so many ‘budget’ laptops to choose from, but it’s difficult finding the right one for your needs. We have spoken about some of Dell’s interesting models this month, but not so much about HP’s Envy range.

The HP ENVY TouchSmart 15.6-inch laptop specs are not bad at all, especially for the low price that we have seen paraded around online from certain retailers.

For example, this laptop includes a 15.6-inch LED backlit display with a 1366 x 768 resolution and is fully touch supported. Powering the unit is a 4th generation 2.6Ghz Intel Core i5-4210M processor and an impressive 8GB of RAM.

There’s also a whopping 750GB hard drive, a HD TrueVision webcam, HDMI port and as many as four USB ports – two of which are USB 3.0 standard.

The talking point for us though is the inclusion of Intel HD 4600 graphics. While HP never usually put a dedicated graphics card from NVIDIA or AMD inside their products, it’s nice to see them opt for Intel HD 4600, rather than Intel HD 4000 which is fitted inside the majority of their budget laptops.

You’ll be pleased to hear that the Intel HD 4600 graphics unit will be able to handle some of the high-end PC games you throw at it. You’ll be even more impressed when we tell you that this laptop will be able to run Battlefield 4 at around 35FPS – watch the video that we have included below if you don’t believe us.

If it can run Battlefield 4 at an acceptable framerate, you will be able to handle other games too – especially RPGs which don’t require intense movement. Dishonored, Skyrim, Path of Exile, Legend of Legends are all examples of games which should run fine on this laptop.

You can view the full HP ENVY TouchSmart 15.6-inch m6-n015dx laptop tech specs to get the full low down on what this laptop can do.

For gaming purposes though, the Intel HD 4600 combined with 8GB of RAM will surprise you. Watch the videos that we have added below and give us your thoughts on this laptop.

Are you thinking of buying one this month? This particular model usually retails for around $700, but we have seen the price dip under $500 this month. Good luck everyone in your hunt!
