HP Airprint Printers and Answers For ePrint

iOS 4.2 was released on Monday, 22nd November, and there were two main features that we had been waiting on, AirPlay and AirPrint. Some of you may have struggled to understand how to use these new features, so we have a how to guide for you to read here. The next question on our mind is which printers support Apple’s new feature?

We thought we would take a look at the HP printers, as this is the brand that offers the most support for AirPrint. Hewlett Packard has a PDF that offers details on all supported printers, and you can see that it has been broken down into three sections, “Already compatible with Apple iOS 4.2”, “May require a firmware upgrade”, and “Will require a firmware upgrade on December 27”. As you can imagine, there have been a lot of questions regarding ePrint, and HP has the answers to those. These questions range from wanting to know about Apple’s AirPrint and HP printers, to how to get it. The answers are simple and straightforward. There has been a lot of confusion over Apple’s AirPrint and HP’s ePrint, but the two are different things. The former allows iOS devices access to supported AirPrint printers, while the latter allows you to print from anywhere in the world. For more details on this visit the HP support page.
