HP 17-X121DX laptop gaming review for Overwatch

If you are looking for a new laptop to buy during the sales and have gaming solely in mind, we have a great recommendation for you now with a HP 17.3″ Laptop with Intel Core i5, 4GB memory and a 1TB hard drive.

This is the HP 17-X121DX laptop sold at Best Buy this month, a brand new model which could be offered as low as $369.99.

Other general HP 17-X121DX specs include a backlit HD display with a 1600 x 900 resolution, DTS Sound speakers, HDMI port, USB 3.0 and Windows 10.

We’re focusing on the gaming aspect though as we know many of you will be asking if the HP 17-X121DX laptop is good for gaming.

You’ll be pleased to know that performance for games is very good for a laptop that is below $400. This is due to the fact that the Intel Core i5 processor on board is the 7th Generation i5-7200U featuring the new Kaby Lake technology.

Combined with Intel HD 620 graphics, you may be very surprised to hear that this laptop can handle games such as Overwatch on low settings but with very acceptable performance.

Not only that, but it can run many other new PC games as well many of which on high settings – we’ve added a useful image above showing a list of some of the top games that the HP 17-X121DX can handle – PRO EVO 2017 for example runs on high settings which is very impressive indeed.

Those who need a gaming laptop and don’t want to spend over $500, this could be your dream system so let us know your thoughts on it and if you have any questions.

There’s no general HP 17-X121DX reviews online yet as it hasn’t gone on sale, but we’ll be giving you more details on this model soon.

For now, enjoy some Overwatch gameplay which is running on the exact same Intel Core i5-7200U and Intel HD 620 setup.
