HP has a pretty close relationship with Walmart, so much so that the two created a partnership where the former would build some exclusive laptops for the latter, and it has been rather successful. That is because they are reliable and offers enough performance to get the job done, within reason. One model we would like to point out to you is the HP Regal Purple 15.6-inch 15-g173wm Laptop.
The design of this laptop is not going to make you sit back and go wow, although this is not what this model is all about. What you get for you money is a laptop that does what is needed of it and does not try to pretend to be something it is not.
The HP 15.6″ 15-g173wm specs gives you a good idea of what sort of laptop this is, and what it is you are getting for your money. The 15.6-inch screen comes with BrightView WLED-backlit technology, but don’t expect to watch movies very well because it lacks Full HD quality.
The processor of choice is the 2.0GHz AMD Quad-Core A8-6410 APU, which can be increased in speed to 2.40GHz if called upon. There is 4GB of system memory so about right for a laptop of this budget. As for storage you get a 750GB hard drive, although not too much of an issue with more people using the cloud.
Other key features for this model are its SuperMulti DVD Burner HD webcam, and AMD Radeon R5 Graphics. As for connections, you get one USB 3 input and 2 USB 2.0 ports. There are also a headphone-out/microphone-in, HDMI and an Ethernet port.
There is not too much more we can tell you about this model, although we know its current price is $398 at Walmart, but that could fall during Cyber Monday.
