HP 15.6-inch 15-F010WM TouchSmart laptop specs with PDF review

Many of you may have a preference to buy a new tablet in 2014 during the busy sales, but for others a new laptop is still the main attraction. We now have a heads-up on one potential model that could tempt you, with a HP 15.6-inch 15-F010WM TouchSmart laptop review and specs.

If you are looking for a new laptop that is suitable for gaming purposes, this particular model may not be the one for you. It doesn’t come included with any specialist graphics card, as we can see that Intel are once again throwing in their integrated graphics with the Intel HD graphics unit.

Elsewhere, general HP Intel Celeron Touch Laptop specs include a 15.6 inch display which features a Bright View WLED-backlit touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366×768.

There’s also full touch support as highlighted above, essentially meaning that you don’t need to use a mouse for every aspect of navigation which is obviously handy in some situations.

Key factors include a 500GB hard drive, an 2.16Ghz Intel Celeron N2830 processor, 4GB of RAM and a DVD drive. Rounding out the specs are 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 HDMI port and a copy of everyone’s favorite operating system, Windows 8.1 with pre-loaded Skype.

As this is a brand new laptop that is coming out this month, we don’t have an alternative HP 15.6-inch 15-F010WM TouchSmart laptop review to offer you as a reference point.

We have however picked out the full technical specs for this laptop in PDF format which you can download here. It contains everything you need to know about this laptop and it should stand you in good stead for when it comes to the decision of buying one.

Is there anything on the spec sheet which stops you from buying this? We would predict that the Intel integrated graphics may be a stop point for some of you. Give us your thoughts on this laptop below and the best prices you have spotted for it so far.

I bought this computer on Cyber Monday and instead of using my shiny new computer to type this review, I’m using my old beat up laptop because the new one is awful. Windows 8.1 takes some getting used to, since I’ve been happily using XP on a newer laptop. But that’s not my main issue. The computer does seem to be slow to respond and I’ve had serious issues with the keyboard. I type well (actual fingers-on-the-home-row typing) and while I may make a mistake or two, I’m generally pretty accurate. I cannot even describe the horrendous mistakes I was… Read more »

I bought this at the Thanksgiving evening event at Walmart for 249.00 plus tax. I can’t really give a review because I’m still learning the 8. My other computer was a Windows 7. I find so much difference. The notebook does seem slow to be a new one. Can anyone give opinions as to why it is slow for me. I am using the option to use the mouse and touch screen until I get used to only the touch screen. Could this be why it is slow? Sometimes it stalls out before opening an app or folder.
