We know many of you were recently the subject of sudden Amber Alerts on your iPhone, which probably scared you somewhat after going off in the middle of the night without warning.
These Amber warnings are built into the iPhone as an automatic feature, designed to help in the case of an emergency or warn you for your own safety if there is a natural disaster about to occur in your area.
For those need to know how to turn off Amber Alerts on iPhone though, there is a way to do it and this is what you need to do:
Head to your iPhone settings and go into the Notifications menu or Notifications center. From there, scroll to the bottom of the screen and you should see a section called Government Alerts.
From there you can turn both off if you need to, but remember that it could safe your life one day so think about it before deciding.
Also remember that the Amber Alert system is for iPhones from USA only so you won’t see these options in any other country.
Were you recently disturbed by a loud Amber Alert on your iPhone, which even bypassed your ‘Do not Disturb’ setting? Let us know if the above information helped you!
