How to Root Samsung Galaxy S, Captivate & Vibrant – Windows

If you have been looking to root your Samsung Galaxy S, Captivate or Vibrant you may be glad to hear that the process is pretty simple for Windows users, recently TheUnlocker put together a how to root guide which is extremely easy to follow.

These download links will come in handy: Microsoft .NET Framework 4, Samsung Drivers, Samsung Captivate One-Click Root, Samsung Vibrant One-Click Root. Also once you have rooted your smartphone here’s how you can load a custom ROM.

Here is a quick breakdown as to what needs to be done to root your Galaxy S, firstly download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 4, secondly download and install the Samsung drivers, download the correct one-click unlocker for your smartphone, extract the downloaded files, connect your phone to the PC via USB cable, right click the extract .exe file and click “Run as Administrator” and then follow the on screen instructions.
