It has become public knowledge that the PC version of Batman Arkham Knight is locked to 30 FPS. PC users have found this out for themselves when digging through the game files and as you can imagine, they are not too happy about it.
In actual reality, they are furious given that they see themselves as the master race above console owners. Cries for a fix with a Arkham Knight PC patch is all over message boards at the moment, but luckily there is a manual Arkham Knight PC 30 FPS fix as a workaround for you to try.
For those specifically asking how to increase the 30 FPS on Arkham Knight PC, here’s how to do it. First, you want to head into Steamapps >Common>BatmanArkhamKnight>BMGame>Config>BMSystemSettings.ini.
From there you need to locate the line of text which reads ‘MaxFPS=30’. Once you have found it, simply change the 30 to 60 and you can manually increase your FPS.
Obviously you need to be running the game on a good system and graphics card, otherwise you risk running into further performance problems.
Rocksteady hasn’t yet commented on whether they will be removing the 30FPS cap in an official fix, but this is as good as it gets for now to alleviate some stress.
What are your thoughts on the PC launch of Batman Arkham Knight? The console version has been getting perfect review scores, so are you frustrated that you are instead getting an inferior port?
