There is continued uproar at the moment regarding Facebook, with users extremely unhappy about their data being shared with third party apps.
As most of you are probably aware, Cambridge Analytica is the company at the center of the scandal, who are accused of exploiting user data on a widespread scale.
Now Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has sent out an official statement on the matter, admitting that the company made mistakes, but that there was a breach of trust between Facebook and Cambridge Analytica.
The situation has divided opinion across hundreds of thousands of social media users over the last week and it has even prompted Whatsapp co-founder Brian Acton to agree that it is now time to delete Facebook after a social trend started gaining traction on Twitter.
For those that require a quick method on how to delete your Facebook account, we can point out that it is a quick and simple process that can be done in a few steps.
– Firstly, you would need to click the drop down arrow at top right of screen, then go to settings.
– From there, go to General Account Settings and manage account.
– Then you can see the option at the very bottom which says Deactivate account.
– Follow all of the steps to delete your Facebook account in this menu to complete the process – Bear in mind that Facebook will still give you 14 days to reverse your decision if you want your account back.
