Hope for new FIFA 12 commentators

Within the next couple of weeks one of the biggest games for football fans is about to release, and while FIFA 12 will include many improvements, we also hope that it improves on troubled areas of the last game.

There will be some big changes in gameplay with the most notable being precision dribbling, tactical defending, and an impact engine that leaves us with high expectations, especially considering reports that it has been in development for a long time and missed out on a release last year.

It’s nice to see that EA Sports has looked at a lot more than just gameplay with build-up to games being improved for a better broadcast-style presentation, which also includes a new default camera angle. We won’t list all the improvements coming as we’re sure most FIFA 12 fans have seen them already, but we do hope the “little things” have been looked at like new FIFA 12 commentators and repetition.

The repetitiveness of the FIFA 11 commentators may not have bothered the occasional gamer, but those that will play FIFA 12 daily or for many hours a week could notice the repetitiveness of commentators. The Xbox 360 and PS3 are both advanced games consoles, capable of much more than they are given credit for, and considering certain features of FIFA 12 have been in development for many years we hope that the FIFA 12 commentators are much more diverse during a match.

We know there is only so much that can be said, but in some games you would hear the same phrases over and over, which got really annoying. In some cases you’d get a commentator state something quite a while after it happened, which also needs to be improved in FIFA 12.

This year will see new commentary teams made up of Andy Townsend and Clive Tyldesley, and Alan Smith and Martin Tyler. You’ll be able to customize the commentators you prefer for any match. Did you notice the repetitiveness of FIFA 11 commentators? What improvements do you want to see in the next game?
