Hisense 50H5GB 50-inch Smart TV review debates 60 Vs 120Hz

If you are looking for a cheap TV deal at Cyber Monday this year, we have one good recommendation for you with the Hisense 50H5GB 50″ Class HDTV with Smart app support and built-in WiFi.

This Hisense 50″ Class HDTV is available to buy at Walmart for just $269, which is an unbelievable price for a 50-inch model with Smart TV features.

Some of you may be apprehensive about this, so we wanted to give you an overview of what it offers. To start off, the Hisense 50H5GB specs include a 50-inch display with a full HD resolution of 1080p along with a 60Hz native refresh rate.

Elsewhere there’s three HDMI ports, 2 USB inputs, web browser and full access to Smart apps such as Netflix, Vudu and YouTube.

One thing to point out though, as the Hisense 50H5GB tech specs listing on the official Hisense website mentions a native 120Hz refresh rate which is boosted up to 480 thanks to ‘Ultra SMR‘ processing.

This is conflicting though, as Hisense’s listing on Amazon clearly states that this model has a native refresh rate of 60Hz only.

Given the low price and the fact that Hisense is considered a ‘budget’ brand, we are more inclined to believe that this model is a 60Hz display rather than a 120Hz one – but we invite you to leave your thoughts on this below.

For further reading, you can check out some Hisense 50H5GB reviews here, while we have already located the official Hisense 50H5GB manual for you to download in advance.

What are your observations on the Hisense brand compared to high-end rivals? Would you consider this particular model at the price mentioned above or not?
