Help Children Learn and Record New Words: Tiny Ocean 1.0 for iPhone

An educational application teaches children new words and keeps them entertained has just been released. Tiny Ocean 1.0 is available for owners of the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

Released by Milo Creative the app has children exploring a tropical island and musical underwater world while they learn new words. They simply tap on pictures which then play animations and sounds. Parents and children can even record their own voices to help with pronunciation and speaking skills.

The app also contains interactive Flash Cards in a variety of languages. There are a number of wonderful characters the children meet including a jolly crab, a laughing octopus, a friendly seahorse, and a little boy in a yellow submarine. Children can even jam along to music by tapping musical stars and seaweed instruments.

Tiny Ocean 1.0 is available worldwide on the App Store for only $1.99. iOS 3.1 or later required. Check out a video of the app in action below.
