It has been a long time coming, but we’re finally pleased to be able to say that Hearthstone for Android tablet is finally live in some countries. Blizzard has started the official rollout as of Monday and now we wanted to check with you on the Hearthstone Android tablet support list so far.
We say that as we are already hearing about problems with Hearthstone on Android not working with the Nexus 7 2012 model. We’ve also heard some complaints that it doesn’t play flawlessly on the Nexus 2013 either, despite the fact that it is highlighted on Blizzard’s initial Hearthstone Android compatibility list so far.
For those that need a heads-up on this, we have the official ‘verified’ device list for Hearthstone on Android tablet. They include the following: Kindle Fire HD 6 (2014), Kindle Fire HD 7 (2014), Kindle Fire HDX 7 (2013), Kindle Fire HDX 7 (2014), Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 (2014), Nexus 7 (2013), Huawei MediaPad X1, NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 I9200, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, Samsung Galaxy Note LTE 10.1 N8020, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet LTE.
These are the tablets that have specifically been highlighted by Blizzard on their support page. If the tablet is not listed above and meets the ‘6-inch’ requirement by Blizzard and is generally a new tablet out on the market – there’s a good chance that it will work.
The Nexus 9 for example is not listed here but we have heard from some of you saying that it runs great. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 owners can also rejoice in the fact that this cheaper tablet from Samsung can also run Hearthstone at an acceptable frame rate.
As far as we’re aware, Hearthstone is already live in New Zealand, Canada and Australia at the moment. Those who are looking for Hearthstone Android for US and UK should check back at the Google Play store as it could go live very soon – rollouts are ongoing as we speak.
