Health and fitness apps for iOS help you get fit for summer

Luckily there are other ways which people can get help, so today we are looking at some health and fitness apps for iOS which can help you get fit for summer.

Traveler Workout is great for when you are not able to get down the gym, and has been designed by certified trainer John Hacker. The application has eight exercises which gives users a short but comprehensive workout on the go. Each of the exercises has a full video demonstration and is fully explained by Hacker.

Using the application for 20-30 minutes a few times a week will maintain user’s fitness levels or help them get fit by just using a chair. DailyBurn is an application which will help you manage all your diet, exercise, and fitness needs all in one free app. It combines great training plans with food and calorie tracking and much more. The built-in FoodScanner lets users use the iPhone camera to scan the UPC codes of the foods you eat. Beginners can get help in finding a training plan which is ideal for them, or the more experienced can use the app to track what they already do.

There is a database of 350,000 foods with nutritional information, as well as macronutrient breakdown. DailyBurn is available worldwide free on the App Store. iOS 4.0 or later required. Good Food Healthy Recipes has recipes to last you all year round. There are even 35 recipes which have less than 200 calories per portion, and healthy takes on classic favorites such as chocolate brownies.

All of the recipes have nutritional information on carbs, fat, protein, saturated fat, and how much sugar and salt are in each serving. Recipes can be displayed in both imperial and metric measurements, and there is a selection of videos to help users improve their basic skills. Recipes can be found via categories such as breakfast, puddings, mains, vegetarian and much more.
