HeadWatch isn’t a next-gen smartwatch

Over the past year the smartwatch market has grown at a healthy rate, although nothing like we saw with the tablet market. We can’t say for certain if these devices will ever be as popular, but it is clear that consumers are warming to the idea and so we have seen a multitude of companies bring out their own take on the smartwatch.

Samsung rushed theirs out last year and knew they made mistakes and so have unveiled three new models, then there is Pebble, which is one of the more popular models. Apple is also said to be getting in on the action with the iWatch, but its release is still a mystery for the moment.

Pebble started life as a crowdfunding project and the HeadWatch aims to follow in its footsteps, although we have trouble taking it serious because it is being marketed as a Smartwatch that can be worn on the head by the user.

The HeadWatch doubles as a hands-free device and is said to be the perfect companion for your Android smartphone. The video below will help to better explain this product and needless to say there will be a mixed reaction from our readers.

As for price, the HeadWatch will sell for $184, which includes shipping, but there is a catch. You will see on the Indiegogo website that the developers are looking to raise $300,00 to get this project off the ground, and with just over $1,200 being raised in three days and another 58 to go, it’s not looking promising.
