Harlem Shake iPhone video and Android app treatment

We knew that once the Gangnam Style got so big it would begin to fall out of flavor with the public, because like all viral videos it has been done to death now. As always there is another craze ready to take its place, and looks set to become even bigger and that is the Harlem Shake. The videos have already gone viral, but what makes this new dance craze so great is how easy it is — hell I can even do this one.

Over the past week the 12,000 Harlem Shake videos have been viewed more than 44 million times on YouTube, if only I got that many views for writing this. Just like Gangnam Style, Harlem Shake has now started to appear on Google Play Store, although they have yet to find their way on the App Store.

However, there is an amusing Harlem Shake iPhone Apps Edition video, which you can see for yourself above. Someone has managed to get their apps on their iPhone to dance to the music of the Harlem Shake, but has not got the recognition it deserves. Maybe people don’t want to see app icons dancing to the addictive tune but rather the public acting silly instead?

If you are not that great at dancing and would love to learn the Harlem Shake dance in order to create your own video, then you can when you download the new Hip Hop Dance with Harlem Shake Android app.

Another cool app is the Harlem Shake Guide, so you can learn the lyrics to the Baauer (which are not that hard) tune, and all the resources you need in order to make your first Harlem Shake video.

Finally we have the Harlem Shake ULTRA app, which gives your Android handset the Harlem Shake ringtone, notifications, flash effects and also vibration.

We have to wonder how long it will be before this craze hits the App Store?
