Hands on: Z buds by Zagg for iPhone and iPod

Just before Christmas we were sent a set of these Z buds by Zagg, which can work with your Apple iPhone or iPod and Touch. You will notice from the start that these ear buds are different, normally the wire gets all tangled up, but the Z buds features Premium length, tangle-free cord. So we are off to a great start.

From the moment I held the Z buds in my hands I knew that I was holding a quality device. A number of ear buds that are on the market are light and give you a poor sound; these have a nice weight to them, so hopeful the sound produced should be good.

Before I give the ear phone a test I need to choose the right sliders, and there are a number of different ones to choose from. Five minutes later and I think I have found the perfect sliders for me; I needed small ones as I have narrow canals.

I have now plugged the Z buds into my iPhone and selected my chosen song. I have the volume halfway and the sound seems a little low, but the bass levels sound good. I am now turning the volume up. I am now three quarters on the volume and things still sound great, there is no distortion, sound like a great time to turn things up to the max. I am now up full, and boy are these things loud; there is now some distortion, but not as much as you would expect. One thing is certain, they are much better than the standard Apple ear buds.
