For those of you who are planning to watch the world premiere Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer from Rockstar, which is basically all video game fans, then we have an important reminder for you. Rockstar recently revealed the exact release time for when the trailer will be going live.
Usually when it comes to a big video game reveal, or even a big technology product reveal, fans are usually kept waiting around in excitement with no official release time. However, RockstarGames has definitely put a smile on our faces and everyone around the world, by revealing that their GTA V trailer will be going live on 12pm Eastern Time. Obviously there has been a countdown going on for a few days, but for those that didn’t know about it, 12pm ET is the time when you need to hop on to the official website.
The company made the announcement on Twitter, and it looks like their RockstarGames official website will be the only place to watch it first of all. We just hope that their server will be able to handle the traffic as there are going to be millions logging in at the exact same time, and we have seen it happen so many times before when websites just crumble under pressure.
Of course, the trailer is likely to be up on places like GameTrailers and YouTube soon afterwards, but you can bet that GTA fans will want to tune in to the official website to watch it soon as the clock strikes twelve. Just so you’re aware, that means that the trailer will go live at 9am Pacific Time and 4PM UK time. If you’re in Hong Kong like me, or Tokyo, expect the trailer to go live at 12am or 1am respectively.
So there we go, there isn’t much to do now other than wait for the big reveal – are you ready for it? In the meantime, you may want to cast your eyes on our previous article which lists some potential spoilers for the game. Obviously, if you don’t want to find out anything about the game before the trailer then avoid it, but there are definitely one or two eye-raising details for sure.
Question: What are your expectations for the trailer – what do you expect to see?
