Rockstar are leaving a growing number of clues towards the Grand Theft Auto 5 release date, which each step they take hints that we’re closer to the crucial launch date for a game years in the making. GTA V had a Facebook page created last year, although this has only just gone live to fans of the social network and resulted in a climb from 10,000 likes yesterday to well over 25,000 today.
The GTA V social channel promises the news before anyone else, and clearly states you’ll get the “first word” when it comes to any big announcement, so you can expect their Facebook page as a place to break GTA V news either first or before the majority of other sources. Well worth following this social channel if you ask us, have you liked it yet?
At the bottom of the Facebook page it states a creation date of Nov 3, 2011, although this certainly missed a revealing last year and only just went live this week. This is a very clear sign of Rockstar heating up their marketing efforts for GTA V. The timeline shows when Rockstar made the official announcement for GTA V, the different screenshots, and trailer, although since these updates it has been pretty dead for updates. They haven’t even included the recent request for help with GTA 5 crews, so it will be intresting to see if this profile receives updates in the coming days now it’s live.
Are we about to see the GTA 5 release date? Considering the Facebook profile only recently went live for public viewing, and seeing an increase in activity surrounding the game, could the big news be much more than just a magazine exclusive and in fact be the GTA 5 release date we all want? Visit the official Facebook page here, or feel free to take a look at what this so-called gaming analyst thinks about the GTA 5 launch.
Enhancing the gameplay with hidden extras – We spent a few hours playing GTA IV today just for the fun, been a while, although it reminded us of how much fun the cheats were alone with parachutes, helicopters, and various weapons, but then we wondered how the GTA 5 gameplay could be improved with cheat codes? While we are yet to see some gameplay videos, Rockstar could add hidden weapons, vehicles, and other things that are revealed with a cheat. Whether it’s the Xbox 360, PS3, or PC, we’d love to know the kind of cheats you’d like to see in the next Grand Theft Auto?
