GTA V PS4, Xbox One priority Vs PC starts war

After months of silence, Rockstar has finally come out of nowhere to announce some bombshell news for GTA V. We are now pleased to share the official GTA V PS4 and Xbox One release date, but also controversial news with a GTA V PC release date now late to the party.

Without further ado, the big news is that the GTA V launch date on PS4 and Xbox One is November 11. This is going to be a global launch, so you won’t have to worry about staggered launches depending on region.

To our surprise though, Rockstar has also announced that PC gamers are going to be left with getting the game last. The PC release will come out on January 27 2015.

The big question of course is whether PC gamers will see this as an advantage as they may be getting a ‘bug free’ and a definitive version’. Or on the other hand, some may see it as the ultimate insult when it is PC gamers that continue to pour countless hours into making GTA popular on a widespread level thanks to the modding scene and flourishing YouTube community.

Rockstar has spoken though and that is the reality at the moment. The developer has also released a brand new GTA V trailer which we have added below, showing yet more beautiful graphics and new visuals from Trevor and co.

We can already see a fierce reaction from both sides of fans, who are saying that next-gen owners will now be ‘beta testing’ the game for PC owners in January. Rockstar knew that they would provoke this kind of reaction, but it will be interesting to see if there is any bonus features in store for PC owners that won’t feature on next-gen.

What are your thoughts on the different release dates for PS4, Xbox One and PC? As a PC owner reading this, do you see it as an advantage or outrage? Leave your thoughts below.
