GTA V PS4 not loading with CE-34878-0 error

It looks like players are unable to access GTA Online while it isn’t technicality down today, due to a persistent error code that we have seen before on many other games. Many of you have been complaining that GTA V is not working due to a PS4 CE-34878-0 error every time GTA V is loading up.

We’re not sure why this has suddenly happened, but we have just seen it on screen ourselves. This is happening on both our PS4 console in Asia and on another in UK so it looks like GTA Online is down for everyone at the moment with this error.

It’s not the first time we have seen this error, as it’s the generic PS4 error code that has also popped up in other games such as Assassin’s Creed Unity. Right now though, it’s a real problem as GTA V is not loading at all for us with this error showing up every time.

At the moment, Rockstar Support has yet to offer an official status on the problems, as you can see on their Twitter page. The longer this goes on though, the quicker they will be pushed into action on a fix.

Sony themselves have offered a PS4 CE-34878-0 error fix which you can read in detail about on our previous report right here. For now though, let us know what is happening to your game.

You are advised to check for a system or app update, but there isn’t any 1.05 patch live yet, so if your GTA V PS4 disc won’t load with this error message, then we have to wait for Rockstar to fix.

Is GTA V not loading for you with the CE-34878-0 error, in your area? The problems are still taking place with no way to correct, there’s been thousands of tweets online with just about every PS4 user being impacted.
