We have taken a look at the Grand Theft Auto V petition for a PC game before and how it really has built momentum, but today we wanted to highlight a range of petitions asking for different things in relation to GTA V. Some of these petitions are even asking for a PC version of the game not to be made, giving reasons like stealing games thanks to pirating.
The PC petition was first noticed before the game even saw a release date on Xbox 360 and PS3, then earlier this month we noted how the number of people petitioning for a PC release was heading towards one million. The exact figure right now is 720,658 supporters and you can add another digit to that figure by supporting the cause.
Don’t make a PC version of GTA V – there’s even a petition by gamers that want Rockstar to stay silent on a PC release, and while many of us expect it to happen the release date is still yet to appear. This petition has 12,422 supporters right now and asks Rockstar “not to release GTA 5 on PC”, although it is the petitioners view that these gamers should “learn their lesson and stop stealing games”. It is amazing that this person put every PC gamer in that category, but we will leave Product Reviews readers to debate the fore and against in the comments.
We even noticed a much smaller petition just asking for the GTA V PC release date seen here with only 27 supporters, so we would imagine a lot of PC gamers are thinking it’s a matter of “When” and not “If” GTA V will launch on PC.
The desire for GTA V on PS4 and Xbox One – we know that Watch Dogs will have some cool free roam multiplayer on both PS4 and Xbox One, but the multiplayer features will lack in comparison to GTA Online abilities. This is exactly why GTA V needs to release on PS4 and Xbox One, even if Rockstar decided to do an “Online Version Only”.
Finally, we found a petition asking for GTA V on both PS4 and Xbox One with only 905 supporters. This figure surprised us considering the demand for such a release on the latest consoles, so the petition has either not been seen by these gamers or they’re simply not bothered.
Hit the comments below with your thoughts on the above petitions and where you’d like GTA V to go next.
