Within the next 5 days we’ll see Grand Theft Auto V receive its 1.16 patch along with an online update, although what that new content includes has come up for debate once again and even more so thanks to bans being handed out by Rockstar for gaining money through glitches. The majority of fans want to see Rockstar patch game-breaking bugs with the GTA V 1.16 update, and certainly don’t want the current so-called fear-factor ruling the multiplayer experience.
There’s a big difference between harmless glitches and those that break the game. We’ve already seen Rockstar backtrack with certain changes they made with stunts, so it’s hoped the GTA V 1.16 update doesn’t make these sort of adjustments. Some people have performed glitches that ended up ruining the game for them, especially after gaining a lot of money and this made progressing through GTA Online pointless after they could buy almost anything with their millions.
How much work is being put into fixing GTA V Online bugs versus launching Heists DLC? This is what a growing number of gamers are thinking right now, and we’ve seen comments in regard to current development time within the most popular forums and blog comments.
The desire by the community will depend purely on what you find as the priority, or if you’re one of the gamers that see Heists silence as a signal towards GTA V PC, PS4, and Xbox One exclusivity to drive sales. Personally, this is a hard pill for us to swallow considering the backlash Rockstar would receive from millions unless they somehow sweetened the deal.
This leads us to wondering what Product Reviews readers want to see in terms of GTA V 1.16, the online update it will bring, and of course how Heists should gain a release?
The money being made by this franchise should at least allow Rockstar to fix bugs and launch Heists DLC at the same time, well we’d think this is possible anyway. Leave your thoughts below, but you can almost certainly expect the next update within 5 days thanks to the clue Rockstar left on their blog.
