GTA V midnight UK release at ASDA, GAME, Tesco

We have just days to go until the monumental launch of GTA V in the UK. We’re willing to bet that most of you are counting the days down with a smile on your faces, whilst at the same time trying to organize a midnight launch event with your friends to really enjoy the GTA V release date in style.

In the UK, the midnight launch events are becoming a bit special, mostly due to the fact that UK supermarkets also join in on the fun alongside traditional retailers like GAME. As expected, all the big names will be holding midnight events for GTA V, so you’ll have to decide whether to head down to your nearest GAME, Tesco or ASDA supermarkets.

GAME has already confirmed that their doors will be opening at 11.45pm in order to meet expected high demand, but the company won’t be accepting sales at the till until the minute the clock strikes twelve. We’re guessing the same process will also apply at Tesco and ASDA now, so it’s worth double checking with your local store to see what prices are like – they will vary.

There’s also the possibility of one or two online retailers shipping the game a day or two earlier then brick and mortar stores, so it will be interesting to see just how many of you opted for delivery and how many plan to queue up.

Personally speaking, I’m not too fond of waiting an hour or so in a queue when you could be in the luxury of your own living room picking up a digital copy on the sofa. Everyone has their own tastes though, so let us know if you plan to head down to a midnight launch of GTA V.

Which supermarket / retailer will you choose?
