GTA V Holiday update snow feature will surprise you

Most of you will know by now that Rockstar’s upcoming GTA V Holiday update has been leaked, with certain hackers managing to dissect information from the game code and pick out what is specifically coming with the GTA V 1.05 update on PS4 and Xbox One, along with the GTA V 1.19 update on Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms.

We wanted to talk about one new aspect that is on the way to the game. We have previously talked about a ‘switch’ that Rockstar is going to turn on in the upcoming update, allowing them to transform Los Santos into a land that is filled with snow.

Now, we have some additional details on this based on more information that the hacker known as ‘NillxModz’ has released. According to the forum in which the details are located, the feature is going to be known as GTA V ‘Gradient snow’ which will arrive with the next update.

Los Santos isn’t just going to be covered in snow, but it will be different degrees of snow based on the time of day. For example, after the first layer of snow has fallen in the city, hours later this snow will turn to ice and you’ll physically notice this on the street.

Even more exciting is that after this stage, the ice will then turn to ‘slush’ and then it will start to directly have an impact when you are driving on the road – you can imagine the sort of fun that this is going to lead to on Christmas Day.

It sounds absolutely fantastic. Rockstar may be a little unhappy that this information has leaked out prior to their announcement, but then at the same time it does help to build up hype in a positive way which is always good.

Everyone is waiting for Heists, but we can’t wait to see these new GTA V snow features personally. Let us know what you think about it below.
