GTA V Heists release date with confirmed next-gen loyalty

We finally have the GTA V news that you have all been waiting to hear. Rockstar has given an update on their blog, confirming that a GTA V Heists release date is just around the corner.

At the same time however, Rockstar has also confirmed the doubts that many PS3 and Xbox 360 owners had, by saving Heists until PS4 and Xbox One copies were out.

We spoke about this possibility way back in June, after Rockstar continued to delay Heists time and time again after initially revealing it as content that would be available shortly after the launch of the original game in September of 2013.

Now we know Rockstar had a plan all along, which is probably a little frustrating to those that supported the game at launch only to find out that Rockstar has essentially prioritised next-gen copies.

We now know that the GTA V Online Heists release date will come in the first update for the game after PS4 and Xbox One versions are out. Just to make it clear, Heists will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as PS4 and Xbox One – so all four platforms will get the content during the first update after November 18.

This means that after November 18 lands, we could be getting Heists at any moment – our guess is December 2014 with Rockstar now planning to make it content for the Christmas holidays.

As an Xbox 360 or PS3 owner reading this though, how do you feel? Rockstar has basically stayed silent for a whole year and saved this content so that they could launch it at the same time PS4 and Xbox One versions release.

Does it bother you at all, or are you just happy that the content is finally on the way? Let us know if you will be upgrading to a next-gen copy as after all – Heists will play better on PS4 and Xbox One.
