GTA V Heists misery, one year later

Rockstar continues to provide great updates to GTA V with regards to GTA Online, but unfortunately the developer still hasn’t delivered on the single most requested feature of the game, that of course being the GTA V Heists release date.

There hasn’t been a full explanation why either. What we can tell you now though, if you needed a painful reminder, is that it is now officially one year exactly that GTA V was released.

GTA V launched on September 17 2013 and at the time, most of you will definitely remember Rockstar promising Heists ‘shortly after launch’. Some of you may even argue that this was the reason why you bought the game in the first place, but for one reason or another Rockstar has still has not managed to get the content out.

They’ve continued to delay month after month by saying that it needs more time, when conspiracy theorists are firmly under the impression that Rockstar has purposefully delayed the content as a punishment due to those GTA V players hacking the game and taking advantage of cash exploits every time a new GTA V update is launched.

You can see that many players are also aware as we are, that it’s the one year anniversary of GTA V, but Heists are still not here. There’s also another comment above which again ponders the other theory of Heists not being available because Rockstar need a big incentive to ship PC, PS4 and Xbox One copies of the game.

A quick glance over at Rockstar’s Newswire website though and there’s not even a non-Heists related update to celebrate one year of GTA V. Is this disappointing to you as a launch day buyer that Heists continues to be shrouded in mystery?

Put it this way, how would you feel if GTA Online Heists were still not available on PS3 and Xbox 360 until November 18 when PS4 and Xbox One versions are launched? Will it be a huge injustice if this ends up reality?

Rockstar obviously have their reasons for keeping Heists locked away from the public – don’t forget that it’s already inside game code, so it’s physically there and ready to be played.

One year of GTA V officially, but no Heists to play. Let us know how you feel about this below.
