GTA V Double RP and Cash for Independence Day

It gets better for GTA V players this weekend, as Rockstar is continuing to bring the goods. After dropping the GTA V 1.15 Independence Day update, we can now see that there will be another GTA V Double RP and Double GTA$ weekend as part of the ongoing July 4 2014 celebrations.

Even better though, as players won’t have to actually wait until July 4th for the double RP and cash to kick into effect. Rockstar has confirmed that the event will start on Thursday July 3 and run through until July 6 – giving players plenty of time to enjoy the festivities on their favorite game.

Aside from the double points, you’ll also be able to order The Liberator monster truck with free delivery from Pegasus. This is going to be appreciated by players we think, especially when it costs over $700,000 to buy the vehicle.

You’ll also be able to get 25% heavy ammunition from ammu-nation and 75% airstrikes for even more fun. Details on all of the planned activities can be found on Rockstar’s website here.

Remember that the double RP and double GTA$ will only be active on the new Independence Day jobs though, so get stuck into them while you can. To find the special playlist where the bonuses are active, just go to Online > Playlists > Rockstar Created in the GTA Online Start Menu and select “Independence Day Event”.

What are your thoughts on the update so far – is this better than Heists in your opinion, or are you still waiting?
