GTA V 1.17 Heists update incoming at last

After the longest wait in gaming history, it looks like Rockstar are finally ready to deliver GTA Online Heists after what looks to be a very promising leak. Achievements have been revealed for GTA V 1.17, showing GTA Online Heists missions and they look to be very legitimate in the countdown to Heists finally becoming available to play.

One of the biggest ongoing theories among the community at the moment, is the belief that Rockstar had presumably decided to turn Heists into a next-gen timed-exclusive feature.

It would go a long way in explaining the one-year delay for the content and also serve as the much-needed incentive from a business point of view in offering a big reason for and against in upgrading to a PS4 or Xbox One copy of GTA V.

Watch the latest video below from community member DomisLive and you’ll see a series of unreleased Heists achievements that are thought to be already inside game code in preparation for the GTA V 1.17 update.

A few examples include “GTA Online: Invest your hard earned cash to set up a Heist” and “GTA Online: Complete The Pacific Standard Job as Heist Leader or Crew.”

It goes without saying that this is looking very promising indeed. We have already seen leaked Heists gameplay, Heists weapons involving a Thermite Bomb found in the game and this looks to be the final piece of the puzzle.

It’s also hopefully a good indication that Rockstar still plans to launch Heists first on PS3 and Xbox 360 as initially promised – before even thinking about next-gen versions.

Check out the video below and let us know your thoughts on it. Are you now starting to get excited after 12 months of pain? Let us know if you think the hype for the content is still there, or if you think it’s completely dead and buried.
