GTA V 1.06 PS3, Xbox 360 update with Beach Bum DLC

We have some good news for GTA V players now, especially ones who are getting tired of waiting around for new content. Unfortunately, it looks like the GTA V Online Heists will not be coming any time soon. However, we now have confirmation that GTA V 1.06 update will go live next week and that it will be coming with the game’s first DLC content.

That DLC content isn’t the main story mode DLC which we spoke about here, but instead it will be the Beach Bum DLC that Rockstar confirmed would be free and release sometime after the game is out. Now, we know that the date is going to be Tuesday November 19, and it’s also the date when the 1.06 update will go live on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Rockstar has revealed on their website that the Beach Bum DLC will be automatically loaded into the 1.06 update, so once you have installed that you should see the new content available straight away. Just to remind you, Beach Bum is going to include all new Jobs, some beach-themed vehicles, tons of new customization options and wait for it – two new weapons as well.

These new weapons have already been revealed as the Broken Bottle and the SNS Pistol. Rockstar has added that once the update is out, these weapons will then appear in any Ammu-Nation location in GTA Online and also in the inventory of Michael, Trevor and Franklin in story mode.

How excited are you about the Beach Bum content coming next week? There can be no complaints as Rockstar is offering this to all players, completely free of charge. They could have asked for a small fee if they wanted, so it really is a win win situation.

Will you be heading back to GTA V to sample the Beach Bum DLC, or will you only come back when Heists is added?
