Group FaceTime now available with iPhone 6 Limitation

Group FaceTime is finally available to use for users on iOS 12.1. However, before using you may need to know that there are limitations for those who are using older iOS devices.

It has now been confirmed that only iPhone 6S owners and above will be able to use the video feature of Group Facetime.

This means that if you have an iPhone 6, you can only use Group FaceTime in audio mode. The same applies to anyone that has the iPad Mini 2 or 3 as well, as only the iPad Mini 4 will support Group FaceTime in both video and audio modes.

It looks like the Apple A8 processor is the cutoff point in terms of determining support, so if you have the iPhone 6 you may want to consider an upgrade.

Is this expected for you or are you disappointed?
