Griffin / Crayola’s ColorStudio HD Coming to iPad

We all know how much children love to draw and color in and nowadays, they don’t even need paper or a coloring book to be able to do it. In fact, it won’t be too long until they will be able to use your Apple iPad to enjoy such activities.

According to a recent article by Chris Oldroyd over at, Griffin and Crayola have teamed up recently and come up with ColorStudio HD for the Apple iPad, which combines a special interactive coloring book app with a Crayola iMarker stylus.

The ColorStudio HD app will allow your little ones to color and interact with special “live” animated coloring pages, which react and move as they color them. The app features high quality special effects, sound effects, animations, music and custom-produced pictures.

ColorStudio HD will be available sometime in the spring of this year at a price of $29.99, and will come with the Crayola iMarker stylus included. The app on the other hand will be free to download directly from the Apple App Store.

As Michael Rose reports over at, there are more than 50 interactive coloring pages, games and musical environments to choose from, so your child shouldn’t get bored too quickly. ColorStudio HD will also include free DLC from time to time.
