With the Gran Turismo 5 game having been out for about a week now, many of you have probably played it quite a bit and already fairly experienced at it. However, there may be some that are newcomers to the racing simulator series, and might be looking for tips on how to play.
I found a great article over at segmentnext.com by rattlesnake, which provides a list of tips and a strategy guide to help you get the best out of the game. The first tip is a fairly obvious one, and that is to stick to the racing line as it will help you steer through turns better and brake well.
Knowing when to brake is a crucial part of the game as well. Players should always brake before they start turning their cars over the corners. You don’t really have to brake at all when entering turns that are relatively straight. You can make your way through them just by lifting the accelerator button for a short period.
The article has also provided a tip for good overtaking, stating that a lot of overtakes are done just as people are entering a turn or exiting a turn. However, players should not be too rushy as they can easily come off the track or even crash into their opponents’ car.
You can read the full list of tips and tricks via segmentnext.com. Have you got any tips and hints for newcomers to the game like me?
