Gran Turismo 5 (PS3): Release date affected by Move and 3D support?

Following on from the confusion surrounding Sony and their PS3 3D games support this week, we have some good (or bad) news to tell you about now, as Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi has spoken about 3D and PS Move support for upcoming PS3 racer Gran Turismo 5.

As reported from CVG, Yamauchi was asked in a recent interview whether GT5 would support 3D or motion control features within the game, and he had this to say:

“We’re always attuned to new technologies. If there are display devices or peripherals that seem interesting, I’m sure we’ll work to support them.”

While this is good news that added functionality may be making its way into the game, could this have an impact on the release date for a game that has already been delayed numerous times?

Lets hope not. Maybe release the game first, then work on 3D and Move support via a software update afterwards. Let us know your thoughts on this.
