It’s been a couple of weeks since GoPro announced a new model to its lineup, although some people are having an issue working out just where it fits within the range of action cams. However, its small size and easy controls will make it appeal more towards those not looking for the best in terms of video and audio quality, but rather being less intrusive for the wearer.
Saying that, people will still wish to know how the new GoPro Hero4 Session compares to the Hero+ LCD and the Silver. There are issues right from the start, such as the fact the Session comes with a 1080p camera that will shoot 8-megapixel still images, compared to the similarly priced Hero4 Silver with its higher resolution and sports a touchscreen.
The Hero+ LCD has similar shooting modes as the Session, yet costs $100 less. With these factors taken into consideration Engadget has spent a bit of time with the new model and now offers its unique GoPro Hero4 Session Vs Hero+ LCD Vs Silver hands-on review verdict.
In the review it covers the test setup so you know what the variables are, the dynamic range, low light, audio, battery life and the final verdict. However, we do have a small issue with the fact these these are action cameras, and so have taken the decision to show still shots rather than video footage comparisons.
