GoPro Hero 4 specs and release date rumors

There is no specific release date for the GoPro Hero 4 just yet, although there have been suggestions that we should learn very soon, and that its release could happen mid-October. We know all you extreme sports fans have been waiting eagerly for news on this, so let us hope you do have just a few short weeks left to see what has changed with the new model.

GoPro Hero 4 specs are also a huge talking point, as it will make people decide if it is worth the upgrade, and for those looking to get one for the first time, would it be more beneficial to save some money and choose the outgoing model instead?

According to Surf-report, the GoPro Hero 4 will be the biggest launch for the action camera to date, and from what they believe, will make it the ideal upgrade for surfing.

Some of the specs we can expect to see are the 4K video recording at 30fps, which is a 100 percent speed increase, there should also be 720p at 240fps, which is also double it currently is with the Hero 3. 1080p at 120fps is you guessed it, twice it is with the current model. Other features could be a 1GHz SoC Ambarella A9 processor, along with an FPU accelerator.

Those latter two hardware features will allow for improved social sharing thanks to effortlessly streaming via Wi-Fi. Some of the other enhancements are expected to be a 13-megapixel sensor, electronic image stabilization for improved video footage, and so much more.
