Google Shopper Android App Updated to Version 1.4

Great news now for those of you that use the hugely popular Google Shopper application on their Android devices, as we’ve just received word that the mobile app — which enables users to search for the best deals in their area – has recently been updated to version 1.4.

As Brad Linder over at recently reported, the Google Shopper application allows users to look for the best local deals direct from their mobile phone either by entering text, scanning a barcode or scanning cover art with their handset’s camera.

The app comes in really handy when you’re in a store and you want to see if you can get a specific product cheaper online or at another store nearby. With version 1.4 of the Google Shopper app, users can now scan magazine ads and search for featured products.

Version 1.4 has also added support for QR code scanning (which is in addition to the old fashioned barcodes), a number of bug fixes, much better filtering and a brand new user interface. The app also enables you to view your history, as well as view saved searches that you’ve starred.

Google Shopper version 1.4 is now available to download over on the Android Marketplace. Do you use the Google Shopper app on your Android device?
