You may have recently noticed that Google has updated their popular search engine, this new update is being dubbed Google Instant search, and after playing with it for a while I think I am a fan.
From what we can see Google Instant Search is not the only new developed that Google has introduced today, they have also launched Google Scribe, which is a text completion service.
Let’s start with Google Instant search, when you use Google your results instantly show below (without you needing to press enter/return), as you add more words your results are narrowed down, which should make searching a quicker and easier task, it also seriously cuts down the amount of times some of us will press the return key per day. Google Scribe seems to be a work-in-progress, it is a bit like a word processor which guesses what you want to type. You can try it out here, it should save keystrokes by suggesting words and popular phrases.
I think that Google Scribe may be used in Google Chrome OS when it arrives, perhaps they plan to integrate it into their Google Docs applications, that would be great in my opinion.
