Google I/O 2016 event bringing Amazon Echo alternative

There’s plenty of news on the way from Google thanks to their I/O 2016 event taking place on May 18th, also you shouldn’t expect Android to be the focus of Google I/O 2016 announcements.

Everyone seems to be working on a voice-controlled personal assistant, and now we hear rumors of Google possibly delivering information on their Amazon Echo alternative this month.

This makes sense and we hear that Google’s voice-controlled personal assistant is codenamed Chirp. Current rumors point to the upcoming event to put the spotlight on intelligent responses from Google devices and voice search, although we also hear that VR developments will also play a big part.

If you are looking for a Amazon Echo alternative, then the offering from Google might be more suiting to your needs. We’re ready Google and looking forward to IO next week, how about you?
