Google Buzz: Product Manager Admits Mistakes

At a recent conference in Texas a product manager representing Google admitted that the way in which they rolled out Google Buzz was not perfect, they believe that the launched their social network “too broadly and too promiscuously”.

The product manager (Todd Jackson) spoke at the South by Southwest Interactive conference in Austin, he also revealed that new features will be pre-tested instead of rolling them out to all users at once.

During this conference Google also spoke about the recent security failure which saw Google Buzz reveal data which showed who had been emailing who, prior to this a Microsoft representative believed that Gmail was “one of the most private systems imaginable”.
