As yet another sign of the growing push towards combining artificial intelligence within the consumer electronics market, LG has announced some pretty big news recently concerning the launch of their latest 4K powered TVs for 2018.
The Korean giant has revealed that all 2018 models that ship with their new ThinQ AI technology will come built-in with Google Assistant straight out of the box.
The company announced via press release that this will include both OLED as well as Super UHD models, meaning that your television will now become the central hub to opening up your entire smart connected devices in the home.
Supported models will come with a Mic button on the remote control and users will only need to hold down the button to start talking to Google on any tasks that you need – no additional hardware is necessary.
Google Assistant can also control all of the lighting and heating in your home, so it could really change your daily lifestyle being able to control everything from the ease of your television.
Examples of OLED models that will offer ThinQ AI and Google Assistant include the LG OLED55E8PLA, while Super UHD models include the 65SK8500PLA which also comes in 49-inch and 55-inch varieties.
