Google acquisition will improve Blurry YouTube videos

If you’re a big fan of sitting watching videos on the net whether they be homemade videos that people have shared or the latest trailers for movies or games YouTube is probably in your favorites list. The hundreds of millions of users mean the site must have enough video content to cater for the different tastes that other similar sites cannot compete with.

Some may argue that not all the content is good quality however, but that could now be a thing of the past as with Google’s latest acquisition it seems quality of the videos will be improved. The giant search engine providers have invested in an Irish digital video technology company called Green Parrot Pictures. This company already has a reputation with their image processing technology featuring in hit movies such as Spiderman, X-Men and Lord of the Rings.

According to the article by Kate Solomon at TechRadar Green Parrot’s technology will be used by Google to improve the video content with low-quality by steadying, reducing visual noise and sharpening images.

The technology that Green Parrot possesses also has the ability to improve playback so videos use less bandwidth. For more details about the acquisition the full article can be read by clicking the link above, where you will also read how Green Parrot feel about the deal.
